Where I’m From

My name is Laksmi Bechtol and I’m 22. I’m a half white- half Indian chick, who finally moved out of her hometown San Diego, CA. I figure most people accomplish their dreams of making their big move to the California coast, but me, it’s a different story.I finally accomplished my dream of finding the perfect man! The man I almost thought didn’t exist. Now we’re engaged and I’m so lucky that fate put us together. I wouldn’t do anything to mess it up. So I moved from my perfect sunny beach town to the wet greenery of Pensacola, FL. As my fiance is stationed here, learning to become a special forces rescue swimmer, I stay at my new home with my 22 year old roommate, Cassie, and her 2 little boys. Her husband is also in the navy.

They’re a sweet group of people, just very different from San Dieg-an people. They love country music, junky food, and don’t do much other than watch TV. Where I’m from, we like almost every other type of music; blues, rock, electronic, hip hop/dance, reggae, rockabilly, and what ever else qualifies as alternative rock. We eat organic stuff and burritos! I’m a vegetarian and have been since my day of birth. We love the beaches, getting salty, and getting tan! We like to hike, take pictures, make art, find the tallest hill to watch the view, go to the secret spots, watch the sunsets, and party.

So now I’m here…… But I’m thankful. They have given my fiance and I a place to stay! More than anything in the world, I love being with my fiance. He trumps San Diego and if I were to leave San Diego again, I would.
